My name is Damiaan.
After many years working in the technical field, a desire for change arose. Someone once suggested I become a massage therapist. The idea intrigued me, and after some thought, I decided to pursue it. I completed the NGS training for sports massage and obtained my license in 2005. Since then, I have followed several additional courses, including Chair massage at Touch-Pro, connective tissue massage at NGS, the Dorn Method, Pain Reset Method, and Hypnotherapy at HIN.
In 2009, I decided to work part-time in my regular job to have more time for massage. This gave me the opportunity to work at a wellness center, where I learned a variety of massage techniques. I also spent several years as a sports massage therapist for an organization that runs bootcamps. Recently, I decided to fully dedicate myself to massage and left my regular job to focus entirely on this work.
What I love about massage is how much it can offer people with just a few simple means. The appreciation clients express is always rewarding—whether it’s the relief from pain or the surprise of how effective even a short chair massage can be. In addition to massage, I also offer advice on preventing complaints and suggest yoga exercises clients can practice at home.
Many physical issues have mental or emotional roots. With my background in hypnotherapy, I can help provide insights into these underlying causes as well.
