Masseur aan de Deur was founded by Claudia Slabbekoorn, who grew up in Bergen and is now at home in Amsterdam. What began as a personal passion grew into the Netherlands’ largest mobile massage service — active since 2006 and throughout the Netherlands.

From physiotherapy to a nationwide network

At the age of 25, Claudia studied physiotherapy and discovered the healing power of massage. That passion led her far: together with a Holistic Massage Therapy instructor, she traveled to the indigenous communities in the Andes Mountains of Ecuador, where she was taught by a shaman. In Thailand, she immersed herself in traditional Thai massage. Since then, she has also completed a three-year course in Energetic Healing — a background that resonates in the broad, integral approach that characterizes Masseur aan de Deur.

Massage at home — in your own environment

Claudia recognized early on that people prefer to receive massages where they feel most comfortable. No travel time, no parking stress, no babysitter needed. Our masseur comes to you — at home, in your hotel, or at another location of your choice — fully equipped with a massage table, towels, and oil. Afterwards, you can relax in your own familiar surroundings. Claudia herself still traverses Amsterdam daily on her electric bike, with a massage table on the back.

Chair massage for companies and events

In addition to in-home massage, Masseur aan de Deur provides chair massages for companies, events, and major hotel chains throughout the Netherlands. Employees do not need to change clothes, and the massages are ready for immediate use in the workplace. An accessible and proven effective way to reduce stress and increase job satisfaction. Our corporate clients include KLM, Heineken, Vodafone, Campina, Redbull Mojo, and many other companies and major artists.

A diverse team of specialists

At Masseur aan de Deur, we employ physiotherapists, massage therapists, specialists in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and spiritually oriented therapists. All masseurs are certified, personally selected, and continue their professional development. This allows them to combine multiple techniques within a single massage — from trigger point and sports massage to connective tissue massage and energy treatments.
